StudentFirst
As the sole developer of StudentFirst, I successfully conceived, designed, and developed the entire software, showcasing my end-to-end project management skills. I implemented cutting-edge RFID technology for streamlined student attendance tracking and enhanced physical location monitoring. The engineered comprehensive gradebook system serves as a powerful tool for educators, facilitating efficient and organized grade management. Additionally, I designed and developed an interactive lesson delivery platform, fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment. The intuitive scheduling module optimizes coordination among office staff. My technical expertise spans full-stack development, RFID integration, database management, user interface design, and system architecture. Committed to leveraging technology for educational enhancement, my work on StudentFirst reflects a dedication to creating solutions that positively impact the education sector.
FIRST Robotics - 2022/23 Season
During the 2022-2023 FIRST Robotics Competition season, I coached and mentored the Marion L. Steele High School robotics club - The SteeleBots. One of my roles inlcuding programming the robot and teaching the students how to do the same. For this competition, we used a LimeLight camera for vision processing. Vision processing allowed our robot to operate autonomously, moving around while avoiding obstacles, and aided in scoring points by helping the student drive place game pieces. The project was written in Java.
Star Wars Demo (Video Game)
(in-prgoress) Designed, wrote, and developed a personal project called "STAR WARS: Dark Secrets", which is based off of my one of my favorite books in the Star Wars Legends lore - Death Troopers written by Joe Schreiber. The player is a mandalorian who wakes up on board of a derelict Imperial Star Destroyer and must learn what happened to the crew.
Archion (Video Game)
Designed, wrote, and developed an action roleplaying game set in a universe called Archion. The game was made in Unity written in C#. Major game systems include: complex ability design, questing, NPC behavior, and online game persistance. NPCs in the game can chase and attack targets, follow and protect the player, and rest their states. Online persistance was accomplished using a custom Google Firebase Database connection. Pictured is the planet "Eeeno". The planet appears early in the game where the player must choose a faction to assist in a planetary civil war.
C# Player's Campaign
This project aims to introduce high school students to computer science through an engaging gamified learning experience. Students log in using their district-managed Google accounts to access the game, which is written in HTML and jQuery, with session data saved using Google Firebase. Within the game, students create personalized characters and embark on coding lessons covering fundamental concepts such as primitives, with plans to expand into more advanced topics. Completing lessons earns students skill points, which they can use to defeat bosses and unlock achievements as they progress through the game. Additionally, the game includes progress tracking mechanisms, customizable character options, leaderboards, and competitions to motivate students and track their learning journey. Continuous improvement is facilitated through a feedback mechanism, ensuring that the game remains aligned with classroom curriculum while offering extension activities for further exploration. Accessibility features are also prioritized to ensure inclusivity for all students. Overall, this gamified approach to teaching computer science keeps students engaged and motivated while providing a comprehensive learning experience.
Amherst Orchestra Website
https://www.amherstorchestra.com/
I designed and developed a comprehensive WordPress site tailored specifically for my high school orchestra group, seamlessly integrating essential functionalities to streamline our operations. Through custom plugins meticulously crafted, I implemented an advanced inventory tracking system ensuring efficient management of our instruments and equipment. Additionally, I engineered a sophisticated student award tracking feature, where students accumulate points for their achievements throughout the year, leading to the allocation of prestigious plaques and trophies. Furthermore, I incorporated an intuitive email management system aimed at facilitating seamless communication with parents, enhancing transparency and engagement within our community. This platform not only serves as an informative hub for our orchestra but also revolutionizes our administrative processes, empowering us to flourish creatively and academically.
